T U R K E Y ! ! ! ! !

Here I am, sitting in a Nipissing U computer lab on the morning of the long weekend... Just finished my Anatomy lecture, and am patiently waiting for 11:30 for my Genetics lecture to begin. Oh, and I guess I should fit lunch in there somewhere as well...

This weekend is gonna be great! The Nay family will be on-rout to Fergus, Ontario (just outside Guelph) at 0730 hrs tomorrow morning. We would've left tonight, since dad's off, but mom, being at CIBC, doesn't know when she'll come home. The bank closes at 5pm, but they all have to stay behind and make sure all their transactions for the day balance out. If someone's out, everyone stays even later to help figure out where the mistake was. She's been getting pretty good at balancing on the first try so she's home at a fairly decent hour (between 5:30-6:30pm) - but sometimes she's been there until almost 9pm!!! This time spent checking everybody isn't paid either! Once 5pm hits, the money stops rolling... Dad isn't too pleased about that, but we all knew about that when she accepted the position.. It can be a pain, but mom really loves it there so I'm happy for her. Other than that, and despite writing on the "time off" calander for the entire weekend, my boss scheduled me for a shift tonight until 9:30pm. I would have asked for it to be changed but since we're not leaving tonight afterall, I just kept it. It's an extra shift, so it's all good.

Another really exciting this coming up, this entire week namely, is READING WEEK!!! Yes, you read that correctly! Nipissing U is entertaining a second reading week this year; once next week, and another in February. This is so kickass! It gives me lots of extra studying time that I'd normally have to cram into thanksgiving weekend... but now I can space it out over the entire week! It's really exciting!!! Jealous that you went to a bigwig school down south now, aren't ya??? I told you that Nipissing rocks my socks!
I'm actually going to need that extra week: I have a tone of reading to do between now and two weeks/midterms... I'm also typing out all of my notes, and it's actually helping me study... but midterm/assignment schedule for that week is as follows:

Monday - Review Anatomy lab; Developmental Psych test #1
Tuesday - Biostats midterm; band rehearsal
Wednesday - work; Genetics/Society 24hr take home midterm starts; Biostats Assignment #2 due
Thursday - Anatomy Midterm; Genetics/Society 24 hr takehome midterm ends; work
Friday - Regular classes

OH MAN!!! It doesn't sound like a lot until I just wrote it all down.. oh my god! Thank GOD for reading week! I'm actually going to use it for the intended purpose!

Anyways, be sure to think about things that you're thankful for this holiday weekend... Appreciate everything, even if your mom's annoying you and your dad's pissing you off, or your sibling is rude... It's a hell of a lot better than other places in the world right now!!!
